Kellogg Land Policy Grant
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Science
Research and Outreach Services (RS&GIS),
Michigan State University, in cooperation with the
Kellogg Foundation, is pleased to announce
Land Cover / Land Use data update opportunities
for local communities.
In the early 1980’s, detailed Land Cover / Land Use
data was developed for the entire state of Michigan.
Over the past two years, RS&GIS has developed
methods to update this data and calculate changes in
the landscape. With the assistance of a grant from
the Kellogg foundation, RS&GIS is able to offer a
cost-share program to update land cover / land use
data for 25 Michigan townships. This offer is
extended to the first 25 townships to enroll.
