Michigan GIS Viewer

This interactive GIS viewer was designed to serve the needs of the public as well as the MSU community by displaying a variety of Michigan data.

Available data:

• Michigan statewide image mosaics
• Landsat, topographic, and DOQ Mosaics (ECW format)
• Vector based data (Michigan Geographic Framework; roads, hydrography, etc.)

Important Information for Users:

Supported browsers include: Internet Explorer (v. 5 or higher on Windows) and Netscape (v. 6.0 or higher on Windows or Mac).

Internet Explorer bookmarks the viewer incorrectly, making it difficult to run the application. To insure that the viewer works correctly during future sessions, do one of the following:

• Bookmark this page and always start the viewer from the link below.

• Edit the bookmark saved by Internet Explorer to replace the file name viewer.htm at the end of the URL with default.htm. The correct URL for the viewer is http://ims.rsgis.msu.edu/default.htm

The viewer uses pop-up windows to display data and other information. You may need to disable software that blocks or kills pop-up windows while using the viewer.
